Buckingham Nicks return: Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks release long-awaited album

Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks announced a re-release of their early 1973 album Buckingham Nicks, sparking a wave of social media buzz and billboards featuring their youthful imagery. The album, which has not been released since the early 1980s in the United States, will be released on September 19, 2025 and will be available in all formats – CD, streaming and digital downloads.

The release marks the first collaboration between Knicks and Buckingham since Buckingham left Fleetwood Mac in 2018. Despite their longstanding collaboration and Mick Fleetwood’s words about wanting to see an understanding between them, there is no chance of a full reunion for the band at this time, as Buckingham’s departure and Christine McVie’s death in 2022 made Fleetwood Mac’s reunion unlikely. “Crying in the Night” was released on July 23.
