Signal Fest 2025 Under threat: Kaluga Region authorities refuse to agree

The Signal Music Festival, which has been taking place in Nikolo-Lenivets since 2017, has faced serious challenges in obtaining the necessary permits to host it in 2025 (August 14-18). The authorities of the Kaluga region, fearing attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles and citing previous incidents, refused to agree on the event. The head of the administration of the Dzerzhinsky district, Egor Virkov, said that the festival could pose a threat to the life and health of people. Authorities had previously warned the organizers about this in April.

The organizers of the festival insist on the absence of an official ban and believe that the information disseminated in the media is unreliable. Due to increased security requirements following major festivals in the region, the festival team has developed a number of measures, which are now in coordination with the regional security services.
