Oasis: 5 concerts, scandal and tragedy – a reunion that became history

As part of their reunion tour, Oasis played five shows at England's main stadium, Wembley. The average stadium occupancy for this kind of event is 90,000 spectators, all five days sold out. Perhaps the most emotionally intense - and tragic - was Saturday's fourth London concert, which was attended by correspondent Zvukov.

Preparations for the trip began almost a year later, when the band announced the long-awaited reunion. Oasis left a few cryptic comments in social networks, and fans smelled: it looks like it happened! A couple of weeks later, tickets for concerts in the UK went on sale. They were sold out within a few hours and then thunder broke out: tickets are not registered, you can buy an unlimited number of them. Resellers did not have difficulty in a matter of hours to buy everything that can be further resold on aggregator sites. As a result, most of the fans were left without the long-awaited concert, tickets are freely available at a price of 200 pounds and above. There was a serious scandal. It became obvious that the system is not perfect and something needs to change.

Glastonbury festival organizers use another practice: everyone who wants to get an authorization in advance and receives an identification number with a photo. This procedure is available for a certain period. In the system, all data is tied to the number, you can buy no more than one ticket.

Unfortunately, even with the highest safety standards, it is impossible to avoid tragic incidents. Towards the end of the evening, a spectator fell from one of the remotest and highest tiers. The statement about the incident appeared in the media closer to the evening of the next day. During the show on August 2, most of the audience, myself included, simply didn't realize what had happened. Later, one of the witnesses told the media that she thought that a cloak fell from the upper tier, but it could not occur to her that it was a person.

The sad context of what is happening became clear only a day later, as well as the absence of the final hugs of the brothers. At the end of the concert, the band simply left the stage without parting words or any contact with the audience.
