Pop star Katy Perry has faced serious repercussions for filming the music video for "Lifetimes" at the protected Ces Salinas Nature Park in the Balearic Islands. In July 2024, while filming on the dune of S’Espalmador (territories with limited access), the singer’s representatives did not receive the necessary permission from the Spanish authorities. After posting the footage online, environmental activists denounced the violation, leading to scrutiny by local authorities.

Perry insists that the production team has confirmed the availability of all documents and verbal consent to the shooting, but the filming process began before obtaining official permission. Katie was fined €6001, which she paid for. Despite the seriousness of the breach, no additional liability has been applied as no adverse impacts on the ecosystem have been identified. The video "Lifetimes" is included in the latest album of the singer "143", and Katie continues to tour as part of the tour of the same name.
