"Power To The People": An Extensive Boxset About Lennon and Ono's Political Activity

In October 2024, a large-scale box set "Power To The People" is released, dedicated to the political activities of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, produced by their son, Sean Ono Lennon. The compilation, scheduled for release on October 10 via Capitol/UMe, is a collection of 123 songs, including 90 previously unreleased tracks, covering the most politically charged period in the couple's life.

The box set includes the Plastic Ono Band's iconic "Give Peace A Chance", a new version of the album "Sometime In New York City", recordings of the "One To One" concert at Madison Square Garden - Lennon's only full-length performances since The Beatles - as well as unreleased demos, home recordings, jam sessions and live recordings.

Sean Ono Lennon, who co-wrote remixes of the concerts and heard the archived unreleased material for the first time, expressed his delight: People may not realize how important it is for me to hear my father speak or see him. I grew up with a certain set of images and audio clips that everyone knows. So to stumble upon something I've never seen or heard is very important to me, because it's almost like spending more time with my dad. The box set is available both digitally and as a large 12-disc edition, including Blu-ray discs, a book and a poster.
