Sergey Kuryokhin: “The silent witness” – the multifaceted world of the captain

In August 2025, Azbuka Publishing House presented a collection of texts by Sergey Kuryokhin “The Silent Witness”, which includes articles, scripts and interviews with the author himself. Kuryokhin, known as a composer, showman, demiurge magician and writer, left a noticeable mark in the history of the Leningrad rock scene, creating his unique "Pop Mechanics" with the participation of musicians, actors and even animals. Despite his versatility, he also tried his hand in film and television, which led to the creation of the provocative show “The Fifth Wheel” “Lenin Mushroom”. Although his texts often remain in the shadow of his more famous works, they provide a valuable and fascinating look at the personality of Captain Sergey Kuryokhin, a man of a short but rich life.
