Jarakhov’s performance at the festival in the Altai Territory was canceled due to complaints of “insulting statements”

The performance of the popular performer Eldar Jarakhov, scheduled for the festival of youth in the Altai Territory, was canceled at the request of public activists. Initially, the complaint against the musician was filed by the organization “People’s Front”, which accused Dzharakhov of insulting statements against Russians, propaganda of antisocial behavior and violation of generally accepted norms.

According to activists, after the announcement of the festival in Pavlovsk, the People’s Front and local supervisory authorities received more than a hundred complaints from residents demanding to check the behavior of the musician. The Popular Front appealed to the police and the prosecutor’s office, fearing that his remarks would be used to discredit Russia.

The organization stressed that Dzharakhov is also criticized for anti-Russian rhetoric in the PR campaign, links with “hostile political emigration” and the status of a “foreign agent”. Such actions, according to activists, posed a threat to public morality and caused concern in the region.
