Alexey Aigi completes Ensemble 4'33 with "After Winter"

The single “After Winter” from Ensemble 4’33′′ was released on August 29, 2025 and became the final chord in the work of composer Alexei Aiga, actually closing the project after 30 years of cooperation. In his address on social media, Aigi noted that the band had stopped performing three years ago, and large-scale plans for the anniversary in Serbia were not supported. "After Winter" is music about hope, albeit with the question of whether spring will last.

The recording was made remotely: the basis of the composition was created in Moscow, and the part of the violin was recorded in the suburbs of Lyon, in the historical church of Limonast, where trumpeter Ismael Galves participated, who previously worked with Aigi on the soundtrack to the film Ernest Cole: Lost and Found.
