Musical performance "Beyond the river, beyond the fast ..." - a tribute to Sviridov in the heart of Moscow

On September 4, 2025, in Zaryadye Park, the premiere of the musical performance "Beyond the River, Behind the Fast ..." will be held, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding composer Georgy Sviridov. The performance, based on Kursk Songs and A.S. Pushkin’s fairy tale “Groom”, will be a bright event within the framework of the Forum-Festival “Territory of the Future”. Moscow 2030”.

In the production of director Alexander Bildanov, the audience will have a unique musical experience that combines authentic Sviridov melodies with modern sounds. The performance will be attended by three outstanding bands: Dmitry Pokrovsky Ensemble, Moscow State Academic Chamber Choir (Chor Minin) under the leadership of Timofey Golberg, as well as electronic jazz band Sofia Bridge and Igor Zalivalov. Famous theater and film artists Ksenia Maslennikova and Artem Boluchevsky will also perform on the stage.

Georgy Sviridov, was born in the Kursk region and dedicated his works to the chanting of his native land - cantatas "Kursk songs" and "Three ancient songs of the Kursk province." The performance is a tribute to his legacy and emphasizes the connection between the past and the present, relevant for the modern image of multicultural Moscow.
