The festive anniversary of the Russian Song: 50 years of talents and musical heritage

On October 21, 2025, the anniversary evening “Country of Talents” will be held at the Russian Song Theater, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Russian Song ensemble. Having started its journey in 1975 within the walls of the Gnessin Institute, the ensemble, headed by Nadezhda Babkina, has invariably devoted itself to the preservation and development of the Russian song tradition and folklore.

The concert promises to become a real holiday uniting many talents: from Pelageya and Oleg Gazmanov to famous ethnographic groups and choirs, including the State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after M. E. Pyatnitsky and the ensemble “Russian Souvenir”. The concept of the evening is not only a demonstration of the significant contribution of the Russian Song to the preservation of folk culture, but also a consolidation of those who are engaged in the development of this heritage. Special attention is paid to the author’s material, for example, the issue of Victory Day, which, according to the director Maxim Lakhno, has a deep patriotic content and goes to the people as part of the collective heritage.

“Country of Talents” is a symbolic name, reflecting the diversity of ethnic groups represented and, of course, the talent of the ensemble “Russian Song”, which, as the organizers believe, is just beginning its 50-year journey. The concert promises to be a bright event, demonstrating the rich musical tradition and uniting the hearts of fans of Russian songs.
