Find the essential controls
Locate source selection, volume, programme start and end, the music queue and call controls before the show. Owner and presenter roles have different responsibilities; confirm your assigned access before preparing a handover.
Test voice and music separately
Choose the intended microphone, check speech alone, then music and the combination. Changing headphone volume may not change the transmitted level. Use headphones so nearby playback does not return through the microphone.
Coordinate chat and incoming calls
Decide whether calls will be accepted and who follows the conversation. A waiting request is not an on-air guest: the presenter must accept it. Collect questions during a musical block if speaking and reading at once becomes difficult.
Finish with a deliberate handover
End the guest conversation and check which source remains active: silence, prepared music or another presenter. This design demonstrates controls and local states; it does not request a microphone or send studio audio. Verify these transitions on a connected server.
Does opening the studio put me on air?
No. In this version the studio is a demonstration. In a working environment, access, source selection and the broadcast state must all be checked.
Can I judge broadcast quality from an indicator?
No. Listen to the result from the audience side and compare voice, music and guest levels.
