Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives: record co-financing and support for bright projects

The Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (PFCI) summed up the results of the 15th wave of the grant competition, supporting 810 projects from 86 regions of Russia for a total of 4 billion 796 million rubles. A distinctive feature of the competition was the record co-financing indicators – 134%, which demonstrates the interest of participants in the implementation of projects.

In terms of the number of supported projects, the leaders were Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod region, St. Petersburg, the Udmurt Republic, the Belgorod region, the Chelyabinsk region, the Irkutsk region, the Novosibirsk region, the Omsk region, the Tyumen region.

The project "Genius of the Place", led by Valery Gergiev, which received the greatest support, will be the first festival in Russia to reveal the musical heritage of great Russian composers. Smaller in scale was the project "Light in the shadows: patriotism through art" from the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, which includes a show of shadows.

PFCI finances projects with an emphasis on quality work and strong partnerships. The vast majority of the winning projects (52.5%) are from non-profit organizations, followed by teams of municipal institutions (23%) and commercial organizations (12.4%).

In the thematic areas “Cultural Code”, 292 applications, “Place of Power” (153 projects) and “Unity with the fate of Russia” (104 projects) were also supported.

Applications for participation in the new grant competition in 2026 are accepted until December 2 on the website of the foundation cultural initiatives.
