IMX 2025: Strengthening Connectivity in the Global Music Industry

The fifth International Music Season of IMX, held on October 25, 2025 in Shanghai, ended under the theme “Connections”. The event brought together more than 100 industry leaders to discuss key trends and innovations in music technology, copyright, creativity and commercialization. Special attention was paid to advanced business models, including the use of AI and Web3, as well as global variations in copyright protection.

For the first time, representatives from Russia and CIS countries took part in IMX, which significantly expanded the geography of cooperation. The conference was attended by leading streaming services, labels and distributors, such as ANO Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Yandex Music, S&P Digital and others.

A significant event was the signing of the Joint Declaration on the development of the music industry, which was attended by representatives of IMCO, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and JUZ Entertainment. The declaration is aimed at strengthening cooperation between China, Russia and Kazakhstan in the field of music, creating international channels for the distribution of musical assets and supporting transparent copyright certification.

IMX continues to play an important role in the integration of music and technology, bringing together industry leaders and creators to develop open and interconnected music ecosystems. The signing of the declaration is the next step in achieving this goal, stimulating the cross-border flow of industry resources and contributing to the sustainable development of the global music industry.
