Robin Returns: Dopamine – A New Career Step

More than seven years have passed since the release of the last album Robin (Robyn), but during this time the Swedish singer has actively collaborated with artists such as Jamie xx, Charli XCX and Jonsi (Jónsi), the frontman of Sigur Rós. Her cult hit "Dancing on My Own" even made it into the Top 20 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone, between "Strange Fruit" and "Imagine". Recent performances of “Dancing on My Own” with David Byrne as part of SNL’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, as well as collaborating with Gracie Abrams on “Lollapalooza,” highlight its relevance. Now, after a long wait, Robyn has released a new song, "Dopamine," which is likely the first teaser for her next album, which has already been announced by serial producer Klas Åhlund. In Dopamine, the artist explores the complexity of human emotions, emphasizing their natural nature and call to acceptance, without being attached to traditional religions or scientific explanations.
