Nighttime TV: Under threat, but not without music stars

Nighttime television, which is an integral part of the American entertainment industry, is going through a difficult period. The loss of interest in traditional television, political polarization, and the actions of the US president led to the closure of Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show and almost cost the show Jimmy Kimmel. However, this sphere is not limited to political commentary and guest stars – musical performances are also actively developing here. The new Sound section regularly features performances by talented bands, including the legendary Tequilaja. Recent releases of "The Tonight Show" have delighted fans of De La Soul (medias from the album "Cabin in the Sky"), Rosalia (dramatic rendition of "La Perla") and Raye (the first single in support of the new album). Popular guests such as Patti Smith (a rendition of the protest song "Peaceable Kingdom") and Lucy Deicus (a rendition of a song from her album's reissue) also graced the airwaves. Even SNL, which often introduces the audience to new stars, actively attracts talent, creating new musical highlights.
