Radio Orpheus expands the broadcasting zone: new cities and expanding the audience

Radio Orpheus, Russia’s only state station dedicated to classical music, is preparing for a new stage of development. From December 1, 2025, its waves will be available to residents of Kaliningrad (88.8 FM) and Khabarovsk (91.8 FM), as well as Lipetsk (96.1 FM). In early 2026, the coverage area will include Crimea, Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg, thereby expanding the broadcasting geography to 23 cities, including key regional centers.

Irina Gerasimova, Director General and Artistic Director of the Orpheus Television and Radio Center, said: “Radio Orpheus will become a bridge that unites art lovers from the Baltic to the Pacific Ocean.” The expansion of broadcasting is supported by the Federal Competition Commission for Broadcasting (FCC), which has also allocated frequencies for a number of other cities. Gerasimova emphasizes that “Orpheus” is an accompaniment to everyday life, which is designed to attract a wide audience to classical music, even those who are not professional connoisseurs. In the future, the radio station plans to cover even more regions of Russia.
