Mike D releases first single since Beastie Boys

Mike D, the last of the two remaining members of the legendary hip-hop trio Beastie Boys, has unveiled his debut single titled "Switch Up". This is the first new music album released by anyone from the Beastie Boys since 2011, when their last album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, was released. The track premiered during Mike D's concert in Los Angeles, which was the first stop of his five small but significant tours. The tour also includes performances in California, Brooklyn and at the June festival in Paris, where fans are promised to hear "new music", and this is certainly confirmed by the release of "Switch Up".
