5th Anniversary of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives: Exhibition at the Museum of Russian History

On June 15, 2026, the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia opened an exhibition “Culture of the New”, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (PFCI), established in 2021.

Over the five years of the PFKI’s existence, under the guise of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the fund has supported almost 12,000 creative projects worth more than 49.6 billion rubles. Projects in various fields are supported – from large-scale theater productions to local history museums, many of them are event-based, forming the cultural image of the country. Special attention is paid to projects initiated by special military operation veterans and their families.

The exhibition presents an overview of the Fund’s activities, demonstrating its contribution to the development of national culture, support for regional projects, integration of the historical regions of Donbas and Novorossiya into a single cultural space of Russia, as well as new initiatives, such as a charitable program for cultural and sports institutions and the program “Muzcontent PFKI”.

The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking statesmen, heads of the foundation and the museum, as well as representatives of the creative community. The exposition includes an interactive map of the Foundation’s activities, multimedia installations, quizzes and information materials designed to inspire visitors to their own cultural projects. The exhibition will run from June 16 to December 2026.
