Django Django Announce New Album ‘Doveland’ Featuring Former Franz Ferdinand

British neopsychedelic quartet Django Django will release their sixth album, titled "Doveland", in November. The album was produced by Nick McCarthy, a former member of Franz Ferdinand. Originally conceived as a soundtrack to a film based on a story about a fictional city, the project did not materialize, but inspired the musicians to return to their origins and create a “sound of nakedness”. As one example of their new work, the song "Cameos" is already available, exploring themes of bitterness and memory. Bassist Jimmy Dixon commented, “The lyrics on the album, like so many others, reflect the inner world and experiences of important people in our lives.”
