Saint Etienne release final album ‘International’

English band Saint Etienne, known for their name after a football club, is preparing to complete their studio activities with the release of their latest album, International. The 12th album will be released on September 5, nine months after "The Night" and nearly 33 years after their groundbreaking debut, Foxbase Alpha, which received a Mercury Prize nomination but lost to Primal Scream's "Screamadelica" classic. The album, including the lead single "Glad", featured such well-known musicians as Tom Rowlands (The Chemical Brothers), Jez Williams (Doves) and Vince Clark (Erasure), as well as Paul Hartnall (Orbital). To celebrate the release, Saint Etienne will release a limited edition CD-EP, the number of which will be determined by the number of orders, and includes three exclusive tracks that will not be available in streaming. Although the band is not about to break up, International will be their last studio effort.
