Apple Music has named the 500 most popular songs of the decade

Streaming service Apple Music presented the results of a large-scale study that identified the 500 most listened songs over the past decade. Topping the list was Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You", followed by Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and Drake's "God's Plan". "Shape of You" also set an audition record on the day of its release on Apple Music. Other hits included "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee, "Rockstar" by Posty and 21 Savage, "One Dance" by Drizzy, Wizkid and Kyla, "Sicko Mode" by Travis Scott, "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran and "Bad Guy" by Billy Eilish.

According to statistics, the largest number of songs in the list belongs to Drake (27 tracks), and the second line is followed by Taylor Swift (14 songs). Notably, the only artist whose Christmas song made it to the top 10 was Mariah Carey, with "All I Want for Christmas Is You." The full list of 500 songs is available in a large playlist that Apple Music has released to celebrate its 10th anniversary on July 5, 2025.
