Chappell Ron: from a mediocre single to triumph over New York

Chappell Ron, a Grammy-winning pop star in four key nominations (and winner of Best New Artist), has not released new music for a long time, limiting herself to the usual country-pop song "The Giver". However, last night her fans got a real surprise – the release of the non-album single “The Subway”, which is fundamentally different from the previous one. This song, with the provocative line "fuck this city, I'm moving to Saskatchewan," is a direct message and tribute to New York City. Chappell, in the image of the Statue of Liberty, first presented the track at the Governors Ball Music Festival. “The Subway” is another collaboration with Daniel Niger, who has already received several Grammy nominations, including a win in the Producer of the Year category.
