Ay Yola presents a new song and video inspired by the legend of the Ural Batyr

The group Ay Yola is preparing for the premiere of the single and video “Ugez”, dedicated to another chapter of the Bashkir epic “Ural-Batyr”. The song tells about the legendary fight of the Urals with a mighty bull (ugez).

According to an ancient legend, on the square of the kingdom of Katila comes a huge bull, whose breath is flame, and roar - thunder. The crowd held their breath, anticipating the imminent onslaught. Katil’s daughter, who chose the Urals as her fiancé, asks her father to cancel the fight, but he refuses. The Urals promises to spare the opponent.

The fight between the Urals and the Ugez is a spectacular and dangerous action: the bull rushes on the ground, the air trembles, the earth shakes. The Urals, keeping their word, does not kill the Ugez. However, after this battle, the crooked horns, chipped mouth and forked hooves of the bull became a symbol of his defeat, and he and his tribe are doomed to the service of man.

The clip, directed by Bayar Baradiev, combines national motifs and elements of modernity: the fight takes place in the stadium, and the characters move on motorcycles.

The premiere of the video will take place on September 5 at the City Day in Bashkir Sibai, where the group Ay Yola will give a concert. The band will then embark on a large tour of Russia, which began on October 10 in Chelyabinsk, and includes performances in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Ufa.
