Courtney Barnett returns: Long-awaited single and hints at new album

After two years without new original songs, Australian indie icon Courtney Barnett has delighted fans with the long-awaited single "Stay in Your Lane." The album, released two years ago, became famous for its use in the documentary Anonymous Club and in the work of her label Milk! Records, co-founded with Jen Clougher. The recording of the track was attended by famous musicians: Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa and bassist Zach Dos. The video for the song was directed by Alex Ross Perry, known for the films “Stars on the Edge” and “The Pavement Method”. During recent chamber performances in Los Angeles and New York, Courtney Barnett also performed other previously unpublished songs, indicating that a new album is likely to be released soon.
