When you already have a stream
Adding a station records its external stream and descriptive information in the catalogue. Programme preparation, source uptime and changes to the broadcasting address remain with the external provider. Adding the entry does not move the broadcast.
When you want to organise broadcasting
A created station is intended to use a studio, music library, AutoDJ and presenter team. The owner manages settings and roles. This is also the station type associated with the internal workflow for listener call requests.
What the listener sees
Both types can be discovered by genre, country and language and opened on a station page. Musical quality is not determined by type. A Radio Browser entry is an added external stream, with its catalogue source recorded separately.
What is connected in this design
Real catalogue playback is available. Creation, editing, studio controls, chat and calls are demonstrations and do not publish stations or transmit microphone audio. A working launch needs the production server, verified technical conditions and service terms.
Can an external station receive an internal studio call?
That internal call workflow belongs to created stations and depends on their studio accepting requests. It is not attached to an external stream.
Does the catalogue source change the station type?
No. Source and type are separate characteristics. Radio Browser imports remain external, added stations.
