Prepare the library
Use clear filenames and organise tracks so another presenter can find them. Check full recordings, especially introductions and endings.
- Remove duplicates and incorrect versions.
- Compare the volume of neighbouring tracks.
- Check for unintended long silence.
- Keep enough prepared material for the programme.
Give each playlist a purpose
A calm background, a musical interval and a standalone music show need different selections. Use a meaningful name and choose deliberately between a fixed order and shuffle. A playlist is not evidence of a calendar schedule.
Test handovers to the presenter
Check what happens to the queue when live speech begins and what resumes afterward. Compare voice and music levels and listen from the station page. Do not assume that a visible AutoDJ control confirms autonomous server playback.
Understand the demonstration
Media files and studio playback controls here illustrate the workflow. They do not upload your music or run a real AutoDJ broadcast. Actual continuous broadcasting and transitions require a connected media server and a separate test.
Does a playlist automatically start at a scheduled time?
Do not assume that. Calendar scheduling needs separate confirmation in the working service.
Can prepared music and live presenting be combined?
That is the intended workflow, but source changes, queue behaviour and audio levels must be tested on the connected server.
