Prepare the content in advance
Write the opening, main points, musical blocks and closing. Check recordings and keep extra material ready if a conversation ends early. Agree responsibilities when more than one presenter is involved.
Check access and sources
Confirm the presenter role and identify the intended microphone and music source. Test each separately, then together. Use headphones and check levels from another device or with a helper listening to the station.
Rehearse interaction
Keep chat and the programme outline accessible. If calls will be accepted, test the request, waiting, acceptance and end states. A submitted request does not put a listener on air; the presenter must accept it.
Handle problems one at a time
Separate voice from music to identify a source problem. If only one listener has trouble, compare another station and output device; if everyone is affected, inspect the broadcasting source. Note the time and the action before the failure.
Finish and review
End guest conversations and check whether music continues, another presenter takes over or the programme stops. This studio is a demonstration without microphone transmission or real calls. Rehearse actual audio on a connected server before a public launch.
Must the first programme last several hours?
No. A short complete programme makes it easier to test preparation, presentation and finishing.
How do I confirm listeners can hear me?
Check the audio from the listener’s side on the connected service. Indicators and changed button labels are not sufficient.
