Choose a practical device and browser
You need to see source controls, programme notes and messages comfortably. Find the volume, end-broadcast and call controls before the show. Close distracting applications and check the working service’s compatibility with your browser.
Test the microphone you already have
Listen to ordinary speech and check background noise, desk vibrations and changes when you turn your head. Keep a consistent distance and avoid breathing directly into the microphone. Confirm that the intended microphone, not a camera or headset input, is selected.
Use headphones and compare levels
Nearby speakers can feed playback back into the microphone. Headphones help separate monitoring and capture. Check the whole path from microphone to listener; headphone volume is not necessarily transmitted volume. Compare two voices separately for a guest conversation.

Must I buy a separate microphone?
First test what you have. A new microphone is useful when you know which audible or practical problem it should solve.
Can I broadcast from a phone?
Compatibility and control access depend on the device, browser and connected studio. A mobile layout alone does not establish that broadcasting works; perform a full test.
